Many insects and microbes live in the fields of my home that use no pesticides. There are natural enemy insects that eat pests such as ladybirds, and insects that eat pathogens. Indigenous bacteria that fight bad pathogens also live abundantly. It is not uncommon for fields to grow mushrooms during the strawberry season. It’s not entirely free of pests and illnesses, but it’s kept from growing by natural enemy insects. The power of the invisible ecosystem supports the deliciousness of Amaou at home.
